Close to our heart

Sustainability is a mindset that guides all of our decision-making, from the products we launch to the materials we use and the people and partners we work with. Love for nature is the reason for Astrid Wild’s existence, and we want to do our utmost to preserve it. We commit to continuously learning, adapting, innovating, and simply becoming better at making responsible choices.

If you have any ideas or thoughts on how to improve, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@astridwild.com.

Below are some of our actions taken within different areas.

Design philosophy

Wardrobe heroes only

  • We don’t have seasonal collections and trending styles, rather our permanent collection consists of timeless clothing that should be loved and used for years
  • High-quality materials are chosen that best combine functionality with a low environmental footprint.
  • We strive to work as much as possible with natural fibers like wool, and recycled poly materials.
  • We reuse scrap fabric as much as possible, for example, to create accessories, and to diminish the amount of fabric waste.
  • We use only RWS-certified and mulesing-free wool in our merino products.

Local production

Made in Europe

  • We produce small batches of clothing at a time, to make sure we only produce what our customers demand, and avoid creating waste.
  • We’ve chosen to produce our clothing in Europe, right now in Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, to minimize transportation from one corner of the world to another, and to make sure the factories follow European laws and policies regarding labor relations practices.
  • Some of our fabrics, like merino wool and the fabric used in our most popular pants, are produced in Sweden. All fabric suppliers and manufacturers are listed for each product, see the “Sustainability” tab on each product page.

A lifecycle perspective

Being responsible together

  • We do not pack our garments in individual plastic bags and we use recycled paper bags when sending them to you.
  • We don't want to encourage overconsumption through fire sales, instead, our Archive collection gives us the opportunity to sell the few last pieces of an outdated style or color, at a lower price.
  • We collect all of our returned items with flaws for either re-make projects or re-sell them. We never throw away or destroy faulty items.
  • We help our customers to re-sell their used products through our Facebook Group, “Astrid Wild Pre-Loved”.
  • We help repair products or if you need any extra items for your products. Please contact support@astridwild.com.
