I have been struggling to find hiking/active wear ever since I became overweight after a few years abroad, and I love hiking. It has always been my way of being active and it has contributed so much to staying healthy and happy. When I moved back to Norway I was extremely motivated to start hiking again, only to be let down in every single store I went in to. I seriously felt like my body type was not meant to hike, or be active at all. I have cried in so many changing rooms, and if I ever bought something - it wasn't because I liked it, but because it was the only option I could find. Then I found out about Astrid Wild and it was such a game changer! I LOVE THESE PANTS! They were a little bit too big on the waist for me so I am currently waiting for the smaller size, but they are amazing. Stretchy, comfortable, good quality and looks good on every body type. I love that they don't really look like active wear so that I can use them casually as well. They're the perfect backpacking pants. I feel so seen, and I can tell its designed by women, for women. Definitely worth the price. Thank you ladies, you don't understand how much designers like you mean to me.

Finally a truly high waist technical outdoor pant! I also love that the Astrid is a wide-ish leg as this style suits me as a petite older woman. I bought a 36 which I knew might be on the snug side but it was the last size available. I am usually a size 8 Australian/UK but sometimes the waist forces me up to a size 10. Happy to say the waistband on the Astrid is not too tight. Next time I may go a size up just to have more layering options and the drapery of a wider hip. - I also bought a tall because this was all that was left - but hemming was no problem and now I have some spare material for patches.

The perfect outdoor-pants for people with odd sizes. Perfect length and width for me, super light, comfortable and good looking.

I bought the regular length (having thought about buying the tall as I usually do in other brands). However they were way too long. I happily shortened them but was surprised that I needed to do this.

These pants have quickly become my favorite leisure and outdoor pants. I've spent a long time searching for a pair of outdoor pants that actually fit my body – and these are the first pair that fit neatly around my waist while being long enough for my legs. For reference, I typically wear jeans in size 24–25 waist and 30–32 inseam. Overall, I'm really impressed.
